Waiver of Liability, Release & Indemnification
I, the undersigned participant ("Competitor"), voluntarily agree to participate in the Montaña Fighting Systems White Belt Championship ("Event") to be held on June 6, 2026, at Montaña Fighting Systems, 214 E Court St, Seguin, TX 78155.
Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, physical contact, falls, joint stress, injury, and other hazards. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with my participation.
Release of Liability: In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Montaña Fighting Systems, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, coaches, referees, and affiliates (collectively "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from my participation, including those caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.
Medical Authorization: I certify that I am in good physical health and am medically able to participate in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. I authorize event staff to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary, and I accept responsibility for all associated costs.
Photo & Video Consent: I grant Montaña Fighting Systems the right to photograph and/or video record my participation in the Event and to use such media for promotional, educational, or social media purposes without compensation.
Rules Compliance: I agree to abide by all tournament rules, referee decisions, and sportsmanship standards. I understand that violation of rules or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
Refund Policy: I understand that a 100% refund is available through June 1, 2026, and an 80% refund is available June 2–4, 2026. No refunds will be issued after June 4, 2026.
I have read this waiver, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by it. I am 18 years of age or older.
